          GEOFFREY  CLARKE

     Clarke is one of the UK's         most important sculptors

           He was one of the:
'Geometry of Fear' sculptors      who caused such a storm            when exhibiting at the             Venice Biennale in 1952

He started as a welder in iron       and represented the UK 
                     3 times 
       at the Venice Biennale            more than any other artist
